This is the first-ever collection of funk productions by the man Allen Toussaint called the "Creole Beethoven” and features artists such as The Unemployed, Johnny Adams and C.L. Blast. “Wardell Quezerques’ Funky Funky New Orleans” offers a stellar collection of the unique, distinctive, funk that powered his better known productions and arrangements including Smokey Johnson’s “It Ain’t My Fault,” King Floyd's "Groove Me," Jean Knight's "Mr. Big Stuff” and Robert Parker’s “Barefootin.’” This stellar compilation contains rarities from various independent labels including Quezerque's own Pelican Records.
