DEL LP 0030
Tuff City/ Funky Delicacies literally "drops the bomb" as it presents the first of a projected three-volume reissue program featuring TROUBLE FUNK, the band that was truly the missing link between funk and hip-hop. The first volume, E Flat Boogie (DEL CD/LP 0030) contains the group's rarest and most influential early recordings: tracks like "Pump It Up", "Trouble Funk Express", "Let's Get Small" & "So Early In the Morning." Sampled by everyone from Boogie Down Productions to Will Smith, these unedited digitally remastered original classics are now available for the first time in more than a decade. (The CD includes 3 previously unavailable instrumental versions.) The second Trouble Funk reissue, "Funkin' The Classics" (DEL LP 0031) features cover versions of 1970s Rock/R&B classics, go-go style - from Average White Band's "Cut The Cake" to Charlie Daniels' "Devil Went Down To Georgia" (entitled "Devil Went Down To D.C.").
