The Quezerque soul style is in peak form in Robert Parker: The Wardell Quezerque Sessions. Though Parker's smash hit "Barefootin'" has been reissued before, The Wardell Quezerque Sessions CD (NTI CD 7107) it is the first time it had been reissued solely in conjunction with the remaining body of his work with Quezerque. Some of this material such as "Funky Soul Train" was not know to previously exist. The succession of music on this LP counterpart to the CD creates an amazing new perspective on Robert Parker's material, as Quezerque's constantly evolving and animated production surrounds and enhances Parker's modest vocals. These upbeat and DJ-friendly tracks coalesce as if they are different movements of the same symphony.
